Governor Bose submits his SIR form, says he is deeply connected with Bengal

West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose filled and submitted his Special Intensive Revision (SIR) form for the voter list today. Standing at Lok Bhavan, the Governor expressed deep emotional ties to the state, declaring, "I have breathed the same air as Rabindranath Tagore. This soil has always inspired me throughout my life. Mentally and culturally, I am deeply connected to Bengal."

Last month, Governor Bose defended the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, calling it an essential step to “clean up the election process” and ensure free and fair polls in the state. Bose said the process was designed to remove discrepancies and restore public confidence in the electoral system.

His submission of the SIR form comes at a time when the state government is opposing the process and even threatening to protest if any name is cut from the electoral roll.
